People might say we're setting the bar too high. Those people are stupid... or, short. Either way, are you ready to forget about those people with some alcohol-related amnesia? I told you we were all about the high bar...


PREPARE TO CALL IN SICK THE NEXT MORNING, BECAUSE WE HAVE THE ULTIMATE HORROR/HALLOWEEN DATE NIGHT PLANNED!


Warning: You can always drink responsibly on a Tuesday night. The kids might not want to find mommy & daddy covered in their own sick the next morning.



SPIKE TV presented their annual SCREAM Awards this past Saturday night, and we've concocted a drinking game that makes all of us winners! Since the awards show doesn't even premiere until Tuesday, you still have time to raid the liquor cabinet and pantry.


You should also know that the SCREAM Awards isn't just for horror fans.  With great films and television series like HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS - PART 2, THE WALKING DEAD, X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, GAME OF THRONES, BLACK SWAN, TRUE BLOOD and more nominated for "Ultimate Scream", anyone can join in.

LoveNotes on the Menu


My menu choices were pretty simple as I wanted to cook the meal the same night I serve it, with little prep ahead of time.


~Beating Hearts Hummus: A Roasted Red Pepper Hummus probably works best. Buy it or have your own Gorehound make it like I will.


~Bloody Gut Sauce: I personally suggest a yummy vodka sauce. Again, you can buy a good one at Trader Joe's or find an easy recipe to make.


~Banana Brains Squash: This can either be a bright and fun banana squash or just make an acorn squash for ease.


~Green Slime Veggies: Check out this recipe for Moldy Pond Slime (thanks PerfectEntertaining.com!) or just make your fave greens as a side.


~Bloody Sookie: The best and most important menu item!!! Tru Blood citrus drink mixed with your choice of vodka. Get it?!  :)


~Holy Water: This can just be refreshing water or go hardcore with vodka shots if you don't have to work in the morning.

So, what's next? You've already prepared your food. That drink is starting to get frosty in your hand. Just then, the glare from your television screen reminds you that there is a game plan to this evening.


You slap down that voting sheet.


You fill it in with your favorite nominees.


Then, you start to drink when...


1. The SCREAM Awards begin...
2. Any other drinker guesses correctly on a category, and you guess incorrectly...
3. The SCREAM Awards cut to a commercial...
4. Every drinker guesses correctly and/or incorrectly on a category...
5. You feel like it...
6. Finally, every drinker must slam their drink at the end of the show.


Unlike any other awards show, everyone stumbles home empty-handed! Have fun and post back on how your night went! If you can't remember... make something up.
