Drink in Public Fridays

How can it already be Rebecca Black's favorite day of the week? Everything starts to blur after new releases dropped on Tuesday. Speaking of rolling blackouts... let's go to the movies!

The Son of No One

The Son of No One - The NYPD are keeping a deadly secret, and they're hiding it underneath Channing Tatum's pornstache.

Tower Heist

Tower Heist - Think Norbit's Eleven... except Ben Stiller wouldn't let Eddie Murphy play every Focking part.

Wait, what? That's it? Where did all the weekend openers go? There might not have been a whole lot of competition, but this next movie was assured the win...

A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas

Celebrate the holidays early with A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas. The guys shoot Santa Claus is the face, NPH is risen indeed, and further yuletide hilarity ensues. It's like drink math: (H&K+NPH)*XMAS/3D = BOOZE. Make sure to come back tomorrow, as we'll have our Drink-N-Screen special for the weekend!

Cheers!

Drink at Home Tuesdays

Friday is so last month... TGIT! There might not be a whole lot of selection this week, but you can always choose what to drink. Let's get to our list, and then we'll hit you with our pick of the litter!

Cars 2

Cars 2 - Pixar brings back the talking cars for another spin, just not in that David Hasselhoff sort of way.

Crazy, Stupid, Love

Crazy, Stupid, Love - Relationships begin and relationships end with doses of humor, and Ryan Gosling doesn't murder people with a hammer.

Magic Trip

Magic Trip - Documentary about Ken Kesey and his traveling bus of pschedelia... not to be confused with Cars 2.

Tabloid

Tabloid - Documentary about the crazy that came before Lindsay Lohan, and her name is Joyce McKinney.

Trespass

Trespass - Joel Schumacher brings the home invasion, and Nicolas Cage brings the crazy for the win win.

This brings us to our underdog winner...

Bunraku

This one came and went through the September box office, so don't be surprised if you haven't heard of it. Highly stylized, Bunraku is all kinds of punching and kicking set against a CGI background. Sin City in color, you say? Both of these movies do share Josh Hartnett. Good or bad... this one should be a blast once a drink is in your hand.

Cheers!

Drink in Public Fridays

All your drinks are belong to us! If you didn't already know, movie projectors work better in proportion to your Blood Alcohol Content. Let's see what movies are coming out this week, shall we?

Anonymous

Anonymous - Uncover the code to this William Shakespearacy that threatens to tear our modern world apart... A-B-A-B.

The Double

The Double - An agent tracks a killer who is the agent tracking the killer... Topher Grace co-stars in this unlikely sequel to In Good Company.

In Time

In Time - Justin Timberlake is bringing mortality back... you future bourgeoisie don't know how to act.

Puss in Boots

Puss in Boots - Meow that Shrek is living happily ever after, it's time for kitty to mark his territory.

There you have it! A bunch of new releases worth the cocktail, but not even in the same league as our chosen film. You'd better be excited, since this week's movie is none other than...

The Rum Diary

Yeah, we expect great drinking to go along with The Rum Diary. Johnny Depp returns as a fictionalized Hunter S. Thompson in Puerto Rico. I mean, the movie is telling you how to have a good time. Just plan on treating your body like a diary, and make rum your pen. Seriously, you need to Doogie Howser that shit. See you next week!

Drink at Home Tuesdays

Another workweek... another reason to drink. Leave the clubbing to people with a taste for that oontz-oontz music. Who wants to pay for overpriced well drinks, anyway? Let's see what came out this week, shall we?

Atrocious - It's found footage with subtitles... brought to you by Bloody Disgusting Selects.

Attack the Block - Underage hooligans protect their neighbors from an alien invasion.

The Countess - An older lady kills younger ladies to stay a sexy lady.

Faces in the Crowd - A woman suffering from face-blindness isn't very good at identifying her stalker.

Mardi Gras: Spring Break - A group of friends go to Mardi Gras to drink and have sex... yeah, that about sums it up.

Mothman - Jewel Staite fights the Mothman in this Syfy original movie.

The People vs. George Lucas - Documentary proving that hell hath no fury like a g33k scorned, Lucas.

Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale - A crew unearths the primordial Santa Claus in this Finnish awesome fest.

A Serbian Film - A retired porn star does some insane crazy shit in this NC-17 film, which is getting banned all over the place.

Winnie the Pooh - Pooh goes after that honey, and the rest of his buddies are there for the fun ride.

Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings - We go back in time as people keep making wrong turns, and getting murder killed as a result.

Have you already figured out our movie of the week? If not, it's Captain America: The First Avenger. Dude has a shield, and he throws it in Nazi faces. Who doesn't want to raise a glass to that? Stay tuned, as we'll have a themed beverage come this weekend.

Cheers!

Drink in Public Fridays

Sometimes, you just need to drink around other people... in a darkened room. As a movie plays in the background. Yeah, I said background. You've been drinking. Who knows what direction you're facing? Here's a quick rundown of what's opening this weekend, and then what we think is your best chance at a good time.

Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey - Elmo isn't real, and this documentary exposes the cover-up with a whole lot of cuteness.

The Catechism Cataclysm - Who doesn't want to take a priest out canoeing as all hell breaks loose?

Johnny English Reborn - Rowan Atkinson is to spies, what Mr. Bean is to regular people.

Margin Call - A ginormous ensemble cast reminds us that big business is evil, and all they ask for is a few Oscars in return.

Martha Marcy May Marlene - Which came first, the crazy girl or the cult?

The Three Muskateers - Presented in 3D(umas), guys with swords fight other guys with swords.

Now, who's ready to get scared? Because nothing is scarier than Paranormal Activity 3 after a couple of shots. You'll see stuff that isn't even there. Pregame. Postgame. During the game. Catch a screening at your local cineplex this weekend, and make the most of it! Just don't forget to designate that driver.

Cheers!
